Egyptian sports journalist Mohamed Shabana implicates the Israeli Mossad | News

The similarity of names made Egyptian sports journalist Mohamed Shabana transform in an instant into the leader of the Hamas Brigade in Rafah and wanted No. 6 by the Israeli occupation army. So what is the story?

The beginning was through Israeli media, which said that Israeli intelligence had failed to liquidate Shabana in the northern Gaza Strip.

In detail, the Shin Bet published a photo of Egyptian sports journalist Muhammad Shabana as one of the leaders of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, and the commander of the Rafah Brigade, whom Israel failed to assassinate, before some Israeli news platforms later deleted it after discovering that the photo was of an Egyptian journalist.

The photo that the Shin Bet published to the Egyptian media person as being of Hamas leader Muhammad Shabana sparked ridicule from a number of activists, and they considered it a “scandal.” One of them said, “Today is a scandal and new evidence of the fragility of these fools and the stupidity inherent in them.”

While some Egyptian activists found that what the Shin Bet did might put the life of the Egyptian citizen, Muhammad Shabana, in danger, such that one of them said, “Imagine with me Muhammad Shabana walking in a European country and seeing a Zionist who believes the Shin Bet believes that this is the Hamas leader whom we don’t know would assassinate him??”

Others described the mistake made by the Israeli intelligence as “further evidence of the confusion of the Israeli intelligence and its lack of competence, the opposite of what it always promotes.”

For his part, sports journalist Mohamed Shabana, who is also a member of the Egyptian Senate, mocked the mistaken publication of his photo in the Israeli media, claiming that he was one of the six wanted by the Israeli security services.

Shabana posted on his Facebook page on Blue Space the photos attributed to him, captioning the phrase “deranged entity.”

Israeli media reports said – yesterday, Friday – that the Israeli army apparently failed in an attempt to assassinate Muhammad Shabana, commander of the Rafah Brigade in the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas.

Israeli occupation aircraft launched violent and unprecedented raids on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, moments after the International Court of Justice issued a decision to end the attack on the city, while the resistance is waging fierce battles against the occupation army in the north and south of the Strip.
