In a tragic and sudden development of the major theft issue that targeted the villa of Dr. Nawal Al -Dajwi, the pioneer of special education and the head of the Board of Trustees of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, the Egyptian security services found the body of her grandson, Ahmed Sharif Al -Dajwi, inside his apartment in the city of 6th of October, after he shot himself in mysterious circumstances.
According to an official statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, Ahmed Al -Dajwi died yesterday, Sunday, as a result of a gunshot wound from a licensed weapon in his possession, inside his residence in one of the residential resorts in the city of October 6. The statement confirmed that the deceased was suffering from psychological disorders, after which he received treatment abroad before returning to Egypt on Saturday evening, May 24, that is, just one day before the incident.
The family and the friends of the deceased held his body today, Monday, from the October University Mosque for Modern Sciences and Arts after the noon prayer, in the presence of a number of public figures and university leaders and students, in an atmosphere of great sadness within the academic and societal circles.
This incident comes a few days after Dr. Nawal Al -Dajwi submitted an official communication that her villa in 6th of October City was subjected to a huge theft, in which she reported the disappearance of the contents of iron cabinets that include money and precious holdings, including 3 million dollars, 50 million Egyptian pounds, 350 thousand pounds, and 15 kilograms of gold jewelry.
According to the sources close to the investigation, suspicions are hovering around a person from the family ocean or from workers inside the villa, especially in light of the previous family disputes that Al -Dajawi regarding inheritance related to the inheritance, as the cabinets contained part of the inheritance that was divided almost two years ago.
