“Our eyes betrayed us when we left Gaza,” said a member of the second Kuwaiti medical delegation affiliated with the Kuwait Relief Society in the Gaza Strip, as they were leaving the Strip, after they were forced to do so due to warnings accompanied by raids by the Israeli occupation army on the city of Rafah.
After a week full of humanitarian giving, the medical team inspected the conditions of the displaced in tents and shelter centers. He also performed delicate surgeries, the likes of which had not been performed for some time in both the Kuwaiti Specialized Hospital and the European Hospital, and this was done in cooperation with the health authorities in Gaza.
Our eyes betrayed us when we left Gaza
Our hearts brought tears to our eyes
The worst thing we are in is our feeling of letting them down when they are in their greatest need
.
Oh God, we entrust you with Gaza and its people
Our Lord, we know that You are more merciful to them than us. Our Lord, show us the wonders of Your mercy pic.twitter.com/V2EtlpGmI4– Dr. Muhammad Nabil Al-Safi (@Dr_abdoty) May 6, 2024

Tweeters – on the Arab level – thanked the Kuwaiti medical delegation that entered the besieged sector, to treat the sick and wounded of the aggression, and they left with tears and sadness. They hoped that the visit would be long, to save innocent lives, especially with the collapse of the health system in the sector. One of the tweeters said, “How great you are and how true your tears are.” “You have honored us…and every Arab and Muslim is honorable.”
How great you are, my brothers, the Kuwaiti medical and media delegation that visited Gaza

At the heart of the event, activists in Gaza thanked the members of the Kuwaiti medical delegation who risked their lives and went to the Strip to heal the wounds of its people and alleviate their suffering.
A Kuwaiti doctor carried his soul on his hand, risked his life, and went down to Gaza to bind the wounds of its people and treat their pain. When the occupation stormed Rafah, he left in the last moments with tears flowing down his cheek!!
Thus let there be brotherhood in Islam, and thus let there be victory!!

In the same context, Omar Al-Thuwaini (a member of the Kuwaiti delegation) sent a message to the people of Gaza, expressing his sadness at leaving the Strip, and stressing the difficult conditions in Rafah, which differ from what he saw on his first visit to Gaza.
On the 214th day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the occupation army continues its continuous bombardment of areas in the besieged Strip, and announced that its forces “completely” took control of the Rafah crossing. For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades said that they bombed – with heavy-caliber mortar shells – the occupation forces penetrating east of the Rafah crossing.
