Sources in the Gaza Strip hospitals reported the martyrdom of at least 48 Palestinians at the Israeli occupation army fire in several areas of the Strip within 24 hours, while the Al -Qassam Brigades and Al -Quds Brigades announced the bombing of Israeli sites with missiles and mortar shells.
The starvation of the Palestinians in Gaza as a result of the Israeli blockade reached unprecedented levels in recent times, as the number of martyrs due to famine and malnutrition has increased to 212 martyrs, including 98 children, according to the Ministry of Health in the sector.
Al -Jazeera correspondent said that the Israeli bombing of the Al -Zaytoun neighborhood led to the destruction of a number of buildings, and pictures of Al -Jazeera showed the first moments after the Israeli raids.
A medical source at Al -Shifa Hospital in Gaza City also reported the martyrdom of 9 Palestinians and the injury of 180, including children, in targeting the Israeli occupation forces, seeking assistance, near the Zikim area in the northern Gaza Strip.
Doctors in the hospital said that a number of injured were shot directly in the chest and head and arrived at the hospital in serious condition.
Meanwhile, Al -Awda Hospital reported that the child Muhannad Zakaria Eid was martyred after one of the aid boxes fell on the west of Nuseirat camp in the center of the sector. According to the government media office in the Gaza Strip, the number of victims of the aid offspring, since the beginning of the war, has reached 23 martyrs.
The office said that the dropping of aid in areas subject to occupation exposes those who are close to targeting and direct killing, blaming the occupation and behind the United States fully responsible for the geometry of starvation and chaos, and demanding the introduction of aid through the wild crossings safely and sufficient.
Famine engineering
Humanitarianly, the Director General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Munir Al -Barash, said that the registration of 11 deaths in 24 hours due to starvation is a “dangerous indication” and confirmed that Israel has moved in its dealings with the sector from starvation to “famine engineering”.
Al -Barash revealed – in contact with Al -Jazeera yesterday, Saturday – that what the Gaza Strip has reached the past days is less than 5% of the needs of the Strip, noting that there is a collapse in the health system in Gaza.
For his part, the director of the Al -Shifa Medical Complex, Dr. Mohamed Abu Salma, warned of the high rates of famine, and said that starvation and malnutrition lead to a decline in immunity, especially between children, women and the elderly.
In turn, the medical director of Al -Awda Hospital in Nasserat camp, Yasser Shaaban camp, said that about 80% of children received by the hospital suffer from starvation and acute malnutrition.
He added that the lack of medicines and medical supplies “poses a serious threat to the health sector in Gaza.”
The American doctor, who returns from Gaza, Mark Brunner, described the humanitarian situation in the Strip as terrifying in the full sense of the word.
Brunner added in an interview with Al -Jazeera that the risk of death from hunger no longer threatens children and infants, but has long affects all the residents of the Strip.
Resistance operations
On the ground, the Al -Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced that it had bombed an Israeli leadership and control site on the Al -Sourani hill in the Al -Tafah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, with a number of mortar shells.
For its part, the Al -Quds Brigades -the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement -broadcast scenes of its fighters, a “Quds -3” missile towards the Neroam settlement in the Gaza cover, in response to what it said was desecration and storming of the blessed Al -Aqsa Mosque.
This comes after the Israeli government approved – at dawn on Friday – a gradual plan to completely occupy the Gaza Strip, starting to occupy Gaza City by displacing its population of nearly one million people to the south, then surrounding the city, and carrying out incursions into the centers of residential communities.
The Hamas movement has confirmed that this “criminal adventure” will cost the occupation exorbitant and will not be a picnic and will fail, as the Islamic Jihad movement confirmed that it will continue alongside all the resistance forces to defend the Palestinian people.
Since October 2023, the Israeli occupation army has launched – with American support – a mass extermination war on the residents of the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the death of more than 61,000 Palestinians, the injury of more than 152,000 and the displacement of almost all of the sector, amid unprecedented destruction since the Second World War, according to Palestinian and international reports.
