7 children were killed as a result of the frost
In a related context, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that child deaths in the Gaza Strip due to the cold and lack of shelter had risen to 7, in light of the Israeli genocide that has been going on for about 15 months.
The agency said in a statement yesterday, Sunday, that cold weather and lack of shelter are causing the death of newborns in Gaza, while 7,700 newborns lack life-saving care, and indicated that at least 7 children have died due to the cold in the Strip so far.
The statement indicated that the World Health Organization condemned the Israeli army’s attacks and the removal of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza from service, and stated that it had been confirmed that Israel had carried out 50 attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital and its surrounding areas since October 2024.
Yesterday, Sunday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation committed five massacres in the Strip within 24 hours, including 88 martyrs and 208 wounded who arrived at hospitals.
The Ministry confirmed that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023 has risen to 45,805 martyrs and 109,64 wounded.
