The Polish Prime Minister arrived in Kyiv this Monday to speak with Volodymyr Zelensky on how Poland can support Ukraine against Russia, and calm tensions around Ukrainian grain exports.

This is the first trip by the new Polish head of government to the besieged country. An opportunity for Donald Tusk to reiterate Warsaw’s support for Kyiv.

“We will invest in companies in Poland and Ukraine that will produce and work to increase our defense capabilities. In Ukraine, Poland and throughout Europe. And this will also be a very profitable activity for both sides,” Donald said Tusk during the press conference.

After the meeting, Donald Tusk paid tribute to Ukrainian soldiers and attended Unity Day celebrations which mark the country’s independence from its Russian neighbor.

Located on NATO’s eastern flank, Poland is one of Ukraine’s most loyal European allies. Warsaw opened its borders to Ukrainian refugees and provided military and humanitarian aid from the start of the war.
