JD Vance appeared before GOP members at the Republican National Convention after being chosen as Donald Trump’s running mate.

He shared the story of his difficult upbringing, and explained that his party best understands the challenges facing struggling Americans. He presented himself as a fighter for a forgotten working class, appealing to the “Rust Belt” voters who helped Trump win in 2016, and expressing their anger and frustration.

“To the people of Middletown, Ohio, and to all the forgotten communities in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, and in every corner of our country, I promise you this. I will be a Vice President who never forgets where he came from.”

He also promised to stand with working people, not Wall Street, in blaming Joe Biden for making America “weaker and poorer”.

He wishes with Donald Trump “make America great again”To do that, the 39-year-old Ohio senator, a Navy veteran and critic of U.S. support for Ukraine, wants to eliminate the country’s dependence on foreign labor and energy, and review military aid.

“Together, we will ensure that our allies share the burden of world peace. No more free rides for nations that betray the generosity of the American taxpayer.”did he declare.

Donald Trump chose Vance because he represents, according to him, “the future of the country, the future of the Republican Party, the future of the America First movement”.

The announcement comes as many Democrats have expressed concerns about the ability of U.S. President Joe Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, to win the election. Democrats will formally announce their nominee and vice president in early August.
