The US State Department announced yesterday evening, Monday, that its embassy in the Qatari capital, Doha, will be reopened today, and that consular services will resume without interruption, in a sign of a gradual return to the normal situation after hours of unprecedented tension that Qatar witnessed, against the backdrop of an Iranian missile attack targeting the base of many.
The US State Department also suspended its previous warning to its citizens in Kuwait, Bahrain and the UAE.
This announcement comes after a temporary closure witnessed by the American embassy in Qatar and a previous warning to American citizens – earlier yesterday – with “shelter in their places.”
“The security situation in the country is fully stable, and all the concerned authorities are working in full harmony to ensure the security and safety of citizens, residents and visitors,” he added.
Iran had bombed the many base in Qatar, on Monday evening, in a process called “Bechara Al -Fateh” in response to the American attack that targeted Iranian nuclear facilities.
The Qatari Ministry of Defense confirmed that the air defenses objected to all Iranian missiles, stressing that there were no “human injuries or losses”, and stressed in an official statement that the state’s atmosphere and lands are safe, and that the Qatari armed forces “are ready to deal with any possible threat”, and the Qatari Foreign Ministry called at the same time to “immediately stop all military actions and return to the negotiating table.”
She noted that the many base had been evacuated earlier in accordance with the security and precautionary measures.
Qatar opened its atmosphere to the civil aviation movement after a short stop, which is in line with what other Gulf countries announced, such as Bahrain, Kuwait and the Emirates, which reopened its atmosphere after hours of temporary closure.
Qatar, Bahrain, the Emirates, Kuwait and Iraq temporarily closed its airspace in light of the tensions in the region after the United States bombed the main nuclear facilities in Iran at dawn on Sunday.
