Two political experts unanimously agreed that tension between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reflects real differences over the region’s files.
They emphasized that this represents an opportunity for the Arab countries to invest during Trump’s upcoming visit to the region, especially in the absence of Israel from the visit of the visit.

Al -Shayji explained that there is a clear variation between Trump and Netanyahu about multiple files, including the war on Gaza and the Ansar Allah group (the Houthis) and Syria as well as the relationship with Turkey, noting that the Trump administration leaks through several major American newspapers confirm the existence of American disappointment from Netanyahu.
He added that the American position on the Houthis represents the clearest evidence of this dispute, as Trump stopped the bombing against them and reached an understanding through Omani mediation without coordination with Israel, which hit Netanyahu and his team shocked.
Trump surprised the political circles in Washington by announcing an agreement with the Houthi group to stop US military strikes on Yemen, in a move described as fast and unexpected.
On Tuesday, Trump announced the suspension of military operations against the Houthis in exchange for the group’s commitment to not targeting American ships in the Red Sea, which the group considered “victory”, stressing at the same time that the continued targeting of Israeli ships outside the scope of the agreement.
For his part, Ayoub stressed that the dispute is “serious and strategic” and not just a tactical dispute, explaining that the new American administration wants to deal with the Middle East files with the logic of solving problems and separating the files from each other to achieve tangible achievements, while Israel insists on linking all these files to each other.
Personal and political factors
The two experts are unanimously agreed that Trump and the concept of “America first” play an important role in this dispute, as Dr. Al -Shayji indicated that Trump is an unconventional president presents the concept of “America first” and has excessive confidence in himself that makes him believe that he understands American policy more than any other president.
Dr. Ayoub explained that Trump does not want to give the impression that he punished Israel as a state, but rather indicates a problem with Netanyahu specifically.
The two experts stressed that this dispute constitutes an opportunity for Arab countries to enhance their positions, as Ayoub stressed that the current moment is articulated and constitutes an enormous opportunity for Arab countries when Trump comes to the region, not only to exploit the dispute with Israel, but to exploit the American administration’s need for regional arrangements.
Al -Shayji called for investing the next summit in Riyadh in the middle of this month, saying: The countries of the Cooperation Council and the Arab countries should take advantage of the opportunity that Trump is a president who has the ability to achieve breakthroughs, and explain to him that Netanyahu is the obstacle that threatens America’s security and its allies, stability and investments that concern him.

Despite the agreement on a real dispute, Al -Shaiji enslaved that this dispute affects the essence of American -Israeli relations, stressing that the relationship has not become confused or frozen yet, and that the messages directed by Trump belong to the nature of his personality, his driving force, his control over Congress and his kidnapping of the Republican Party.
While Dr. Ayoub indicated that the effect of the dispute depends on the file that is speaking about it, warning that Trump will present to Netanyahu a major prize to allow him to act in the Gaza Strip in the way he wants in exchange for Netanyahu’s acceptance of American strategies in other files.
