The Israeli government refuses to allow food, medication and fuel in the Gaza Strip.

On Sunday, Israel has once again cut off food, drugs and fuels essential to Gaza.

The government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was clear: this decision aims to put Hamas to accept a new set of cease-fire conditions, unlike the agreement concluded by both parties last month.

But despite Israel’s apparent attempt to use famine as a lever effect, the global response was largely attenuated.

While the Arab countries have condemned the blockade, the United States and Europe do not seem willing to hold Israel under the initial agreement.

So can Israel be taken into account? And if so, how?
