Doctors on the front lines in Gaza – Dr Victoria Rose and Fatima Bhutto | Gaza


Victoria Rose is a British plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has carried out two medical missions to Gaza since October 7, 2023.

In this interview from Tel Aviv Tribune’s new series Cropauthor and journalist Fatima Bhutto speaks to Victoria Rose about the devastating effects of the war on the health system in Gaza, including the severe lack of food, specialist doctors, medical supplies and difficulties of access for international humanitarian groups .

During her stay in Gaza, Victoria Rose worked around the clock and almost 90% of her cases involved children. She tells us about the extreme injuries she saw and the psychological effects of war.
