- Use the bed for sleep only, and not as a place to meditate on problems or argument.
- Set a specific date for sleeping and a routine for sleep while accurately adheres to them.
- Avoid taking a nap during the day.
- Avoid eating caffeine late at night, as caffeine can make the brain of a hyperactivity and active attention disorder more emotional and vigilance. It may also cause sleep disturbance due to night urination, due to its diuretic effect.
