A major fire, described as “massive” by the head of operations of the firefighters, ravaged the Danish offices of a major pharmaceutical company which produces the weight loss drug Ozempic.

The fire started outside Novo Nordisk’s offices in Bagsvaerd, Copenhagen, before spreading to the roof of a nearby building.

Novo Nordisk reported on X, formerly Twitter, that the fire was under control and that no injuries were reported.

This is the second fire in a week to affect the business. The building that burned could not be saved, but activity will return to normal on Thursday, said Novo Nordisk, which has other offices on this site.
