Demonstrations in European and Arab cities denouncing the Israeli massacres in Rafah News


On Tuesday, European and Arab cities and capitals witnessed demonstrations, marches, and stands in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, and denouncing the ongoing Israeli massacres against the displaced in Rafah, south of the Strip.

The demonstrators demanded an end to the war and the punishment of those responsible for the genocide in Gaza, which has been witnessing a devastating aggression for 235 days that has left tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded, most of them women and children, and unprecedented destruction of infrastructure, buildings, hospitals and schools.

Britain

Thousands of supporters of Palestine demonstrated in the streets of the British capital, London, on Tuesday, denouncing the ongoing Israeli occupation massacres in the city of Rafah.

The demonstrators in the vicinity of Downing Street demanded that the British government condemn the Israeli aggression and stop arms exports to Tel Aviv. They raised banners denouncing the continued aggression against Gaza, and demanding an immediate ceasefire.

On Tuesday, dozens of demonstrators blocked the entrance to the Israeli weapons factory of the Elbit company in the British city of Shinstone, in support of Gaza and denouncing the crimes of genocide.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and banners demanding a ceasefire and an end to the crimes committed by the occupation forces.

France

Thousands of people also demonstrated on Tuesday evening in Paris for the second day in a row, to protest the Israeli massacres in Rafah.

Republic Square in the center of the capital was crowded with people, and Palestinian flags were placed on the statue in its center along with a large banner bearing the phrase “Stop genocide.”

For its part, the French Jewish Union for Peace raised the slogan “Jews and anti-Zionists, we are for equal rights.” The demonstrators chanted, “Israel is a killer and Macron is an accomplice,” “We are all children of Gaza,” and “Israel is killing the children of Palestine.”

In Brussels, Belgian police dispersed with water cannons protesters who tried to reach the Israeli embassy building as part of a demonstration against the bombing of Rafah.

The police set up barriers to prevent demonstrators from reaching the embassy building, located south of Brussels.

Ireland

Palestinian, Arab and Irish activists who support the Palestinian cause demonstrated in front of the Irish Parliament in Dublin in conjunction with the Irish government’s recognition of the Palestinian state.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and banners in support of Palestinian rights in front of Parliament Park, which witnessed the raising of the Palestinian flag for the first time.

Norway

A demonstration took place in front of the Norwegian Parliament headquarters to thank the government for its announcement of recognition of the State of Palestine, and to demand that this step not be limited to this step and the necessity of withdrawing Norwegian investments from Israel and pressing for an immediate and sustainable ceasefire.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and banners demanding an immediate end to the war, and banners accusing Israel of committing a war of genocide. The demonstrators called for those responsible for the genocide in Gaza to be punished.

Supporters of Palestine also organized a silent vigil in front of the Norwegian Parliament headquarters in the center of the capital, Oslo, to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Khiam Holocaust, which claimed the lives of more than 40 martyrs, most of whom were children and women.

Holland

Dozens of supporters of Palestine organized a silent protest in front of the municipal building in the Dutch city of Utrecht, to denounce the holocaust of tents and the killing of civilians, including children and women, in Tal al-Sultan, west of Rafah.

The protesters lay down in front of the building to represent the scene of the death of the victims in Gaza, raising Palestinian flags and chanting slogans denouncing the Dutch government’s support for the occupation since the beginning of the aggression, and demanding the protection of Rafah, which is crowded with displaced people.

Canada

The Canadian city of Toronto witnessed a massive demonstration on Monday evening, to denounce the Khiam massacre committed by the Israeli army in the Palestinian city of Rafah.

Activists marched through the streets of the city, chanting slogans denouncing the ongoing Israeli crimes and calling for an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza and a ceasefire.

Jordan

Jordanians demonstrated in the vicinity of the Israeli embassy, ​​west of the capital, Amman, and denounced the continuation of what they described as a genocidal war in Gaza against the defenseless civilian population in the besieged Strip.

The demonstrators, most of whom were young, chanted in support of the Palestinian resistance, demanding the need to deliver humanitarian and medical aid.

They also condemned normalization with Israel, and called on the Jordanian government and Arab governments to end all diplomatic and economic agreements with the Israeli occupation.

Yemen

In Yemen, demonstrators organized 8 protests and marches during which they denounced the Israeli massacres in Rafah, according to the Saba Agency, affiliated with the Houthi group.

The agency said that summer course students in Al-Juba District in Ma’rib Governorate (north) organized a massive march in support of the mujahideen in Gaza and in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people.

The march participants denounced the continued massacres of the Zionist enemy, which is committing the most heinous crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people, the latest of which is the massacre against the displaced people northwest of Rafah.

Hundreds of students also participated in 3 marches in the governorates of Sanaa, Amran (north), and Hajjah (west).

Morocco

In the Moroccan capital, Rabat, hundreds of Moroccans, including human rights activists, organized a stand in front of the parliament building, in solidarity with Gaza and denouncing the recent massacres in Rafah.

Through banners bearing the phrase “Stop the Rafah Massacres,” the demonstrators participating in the protest expressed their rejection of Israel’s defiance of all international conventions and the decisions of the International Court of Justice by continuing its massacres in Rafah, demanding that international institutions activate their mechanisms to deter them.

During the protest, the demonstrators also chanted slogans in solidarity with Gaza and the Palestinian resistance there, such as “O resistance, march towards victory and liberation,” and a Palestinian salute to proud Gaza, to the proud resistance, and a salute to the Gazan woman, a symbol of redemption and sacrifice.

On an almost daily basis, many Moroccan cities, including Rabat, are witnessing massive vigils in solidarity with the Palestinian people, demanding an end to the Israeli raids on Gaza, the lifting of the siege and the entry of aid.
