Many countries around the world witnessed demonstrations and protests in support of Palestine and against the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing for about 7 months.
In Yemen, thousands of university students participated in a protest and organized a student march in support of the Gaza Strip, and in solidarity with the student movement rejecting the Israeli war on the Strip in Western universities.
The Houthi-run Al-Masirah Channel said that thousands participated in the largest student march in the capital, Sanaa, in solidarity with Gaza.
The participants in the march raised banners expressing their solidarity and support for the Palestinian people, and chanted slogans denouncing the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians in Gaza.
In a statement read by one of the march’s organizers, the participants praised the honorable positions of students and academics of American and European universities who oppose the genocidal war committed by Israel in Gaza.
Other Yemeni cities, including Taiz in the southwest of the country, also witnessed demonstrations in support of Palestine in response to a call launched by student sectors affiliated with Yemeni political components.
Morocco
In Morocco, thousands went out today, Sunday, in the city of Meknes, in the north of the Kingdom, in a solidarity march with Gaza, to demand an end to the genocide against the residents of the Strip.
The participants in the march called for by the National Action Group for Palestine condemned what they described as Western countries’ complicity with Israel, their continued supply of weapons, and their political support.
Participants raised banners demanding that Israel be prevented from implementing its plans to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, and praising student solidarity with Gaza in Western universities.
Türkiye
In the same context, university students in Afyonkarahisar state, western Turkey, organized a march in support of Palestine and the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a devastating Israeli war since last October 7.
Representatives of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Organization participated in the students’ march. They were at the forefront of the march, which denounced the Israeli war on Gaza, and the participants chanted slogans in support of Palestine.
Sweden
Thousands of demonstrators came out in several cities in Sweden in support of the Gaza Strip and Palestine, and the demonstrators in the Swedish city of Göteborg demanded an immediate halt to the Israeli war on Gaza.
The rainy weather did not prevent thousands in the Swedish city of Malmo from going out in a massive demonstration in solidarity with Gaza and Palestine, as they denounced the participation of the Israeli occupation in the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in the city of Malmo, and demanded that the Israeli delegation be prevented from participating in it.
The demonstrators raised the Palestinian flag and chanted slogans denouncing the Israeli massacres in Gaza and demanding an end to the war and freedom for Palestine.
Australia
In Australia, thousands of demonstrators demonstrated today, Sunday, in the Australian capital, Melbourne, in support of Palestine and Gaza. They denounced Western support for Israeli crimes in Gaza, and called on the Australian government to boycott Israel and withdraw its investments from the occupation.
The participants in the demonstration called for an immediate halt to the war on Gaza, and denounced the Israeli massacres in Gaza, and the massacres it committed and the destruction of the infrastructure in the Strip, including targeting hospitals and destroying the health sector.
Denmark and Austria
Hundreds also demonstrated in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, demanding an immediate end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza. They raised the Palestinian flag and chanted anti-Israel and supportive of Palestine slogans.
Not far from Denmark, the Austrian city of Linz witnessed a car march on Sunday in support of Palestine and Gaza.
The Israeli occupation – with American support – has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since last October 7, which has left tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
The occupation army continues its war on Gaza despite Israel’s appearance before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing genocide.
