Sudanese local accounts and pages on digital platforms circulated yesterday, Saturday, July 26, statements attributed to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stating that there is no future political role for the warring parties in the country, which sparked widespread interaction.
According to posts circulating in groups followed by hundreds of thousands on Facebook, Rubio confirmed – according to its claim – the exclusion of political partners of the warring factions from the political process that will track a peace agreement in the country.
However, did Marco Rubio already make these statements? What is its original source? Did any official body or reliable media published it?
Washington resolves its position
Digital accounts and pages participated in publishing the text of what was said to be statements by Rubio, in both Arabic and English, and according to the prosecution – that “there is no new political project other than the framework agreement that previously erupted,” adding: “We have the mechanism that guarantees the implementation of this.”
The statements attributed to a widespread controversy on communication platforms, as some considered them a remarkable shift in Washington’s position towards the parties to the conflict, and a reference to an international approach to the refusal of the military’s participation in any future transitional arrangements.
The US Secretary of State: There will be no political role for the warring parties and their partners after the peace process in Sudan, nor any new political project other than the previous framework agreement for the war. We have the mechanism that guarantees the implementation of this.

On the other hand, others saw that what is attributed to Rubio represents a rejected intervention in Sudan affairs, stressing that “the decision remains in the hands of the Sudanese alone.”
The Trump administration wants to impose the will on the Sudanese and Rubio declares and confirms that they will impose the solution that is in line with their cruciate plans as if Sudan was an American state! We say to Rubio that the Sudanese are no less than the Taliban and not weaker than Somalia, and they have said it with the mouth of the two million. It will not come down, and we will not obey, and we will not obey the Americans!

But in the midst of this controversy, users asked about the validity of these statements, especially as they did not have any media coverage from the international or Arab media, and had not been issued by a US official since the beginning of the war that broke out at the dawn of April 15, 2023.
Fabricated statement
Sanad for monitoring and news investigation on Al -Jazira Network conducted an extensive research on the alleged statements of the US Secretary of State on the future of the political process in Sudan and it was found that it is “fabricated.”
The statements made by Sudanese accounts on the tongue of Rubio, whether it was through the official website of the Ministry, or his official account on the “X” platform, nor was it reported by any reliable media.
It is noteworthy that the American presidential envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Massad Paul, recently stated that the conflict in Sudan will not be resolved militarily, stressing that the only way to end the war is dialogue and a comprehensive settlement.
