A Palestinian was injured by Israeli occupation army gunfire in the town of Beit Furik, east of the city of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, while settlers attacked Palestinian olive pickers and prevented them from completing their work with the support of occupation soldiers.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that a 22-year-old young man was injured by live bullets in the foot during clashes in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus.

Eyewitnesses said that Israeli forces stormed the town, and confrontations broke out with Palestinian youths, as those forces fired live bullets and tear gas towards homes and residents.

Witnesses pointed out that the town of Beit Furik has been subjected to repeated raids by the Israeli army for two weeks, which usually leads to the outbreak of confrontations that result in casualties.

Tulkarm

Later today, the occupation army bombed a residential building after besieging it in the Al-Salam neighborhood in the city of Tulkarm, in the northern occupied West Bank. He sent military reinforcements and bulldozers to Tulkarm, and imposed a siege on the building located in the Al-Salam neighborhood near the Nour Shams residential camp.

Witnesses explained that the army fired at least one Energa shell towards a residential apartment in the area, without knowing the fate of those inside. They noted that an Israeli army bulldozer began demolishing parts of the apartment.

The official Palestinian News Agency quoted local sources as saying that the occupation soldiers summoned the father and mother of one of the young men trapped (in the apartment), and used them as human shields to pressure their son to surrender himself.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation army storms cities and towns in the West Bank every day under the pretext of searching for wanted security personnel.

Attacking olive pickers

In the Bethlehem Governorate in the southern West Bank, settlers, protected by the Israeli army, attacked olive pickers in the town of Battir, who were accompanied by foreign sympathizers, west of the city, according to what was reported by the official Palestinian News Agency (Wafa).

The agency reported that the settlers’ attack led to several injuries and bruises among Palestinians and solidarity activists. Settlers also tried to prevent Palestinians from picking olives in the town of Hizma, northeast of Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said that armed settlers from the “Adam” settlement attacked farmers while they were picking olives in the vicinity of the eastern area of ​​the town, and tried to expel them from their lands.

Settlers’ attacks against Palestinian farmers intensify with the olive harvest season in October of each year.

According to data from the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority (governmental), settlers carried out 2,777 attacks in the West Bank since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023 until October 7, 2023, leading to the martyrdom of 19 Palestinians and the displacement of 28 Palestinian Bedouin communities inhabited by them. 292 families including 1,636 individuals.
