Confrontations and arrests in the West Bank amid Israeli warnings of an imminent explosion News

Confrontations broke out early Tuesday in cities and towns in the West Bank during new incursions carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, which witnessed arrests and sabotage of infrastructure, amid Israeli warnings of an imminent explosion of the situation.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the Israeli army stormed, before dawn today, the city of Ramallah in the central West Bank from its western axis and raided a residential apartment in the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood belonging to the prisoner doctor, Aysar Barghouthi. Israeli forces also stormed the nearby town of Beit Sira.

In the eastern West Bank, Israeli forces stormed Ain Sultan camp in the city of Jericho before dawn today and surrounded a house inside it.

Activists reported that Palestinian youths targeted the invading forces with a homemade device during confrontations in the camp.

In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces stormed the city of Nablus and the Askar camp, which is located in the eastern part of it, vandalized the streets, and arrested the freed prisoner Atta Al-Rimawi while he was passing through the Huwwara checkpoint.

Activists posted on social media pictures of a military vehicle being targeted with a highly explosive explosive device in the eastern region of Nablus.

Confrontations also broke out between Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, after storming it.

Also in the northern West Bank, the Israeli army arrested a Palestinian during its storming of the town of Jalboun in Jenin, and the freed prisoner Mohsen Shreim was arrested during a new storming of the city of Qalqilya.

Near Tulkarm, a young Palestinian man was seriously injured by bullets from the occupation forces in the town of Qaffin, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent, and clashes also broke out in the town of Anabta, east of the city.

In the southern West Bank, the raids included areas in Hebron, including the town of Idhna, according to activists.

Since the resistance launched the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, the pace of Israeli attacks in the West Bank has escalated, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 350 Palestinians and the arrest of more than 5,000 others.

On the verge of explosion

The Israeli occupation army continues its raids, while the Haaretz newspaper quoted security officials as saying that the situation in the West Bank is on the verge of explosion.

Security officials warned that if the political level did not make decisions about the economic future of the Palestinians there, the risk of conflict would increase.

The newspaper said that the Israeli army transferred the “Duvdevan” unit from Gaza to the West Bank in anticipation of the escalation of the situation there.

Killed in cold blood

Meanwhile, yesterday, Monday, activists published a video clip showing the Israeli occupation army killing Palestinian Ahmed Al-Jundi, a father of five children, at a military checkpoint in Bethlehem in the West Bank on December 28.

The activists said that the soldier – who is from the town of Yatta in Hebron – was killed only because he stopped his car to check whether the checkpoint was open or not.

Eyewitnesses reported that he stopped near the military tunnel checkpoint, thinking that the intersection near him was; It was opened, and while he was standing to inspect it, the soldiers killed him.

The occupation forces had previously committed similar operations, which the Palestinians described as executions.
