Clashes broke out between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces in the southern neighborhood of the city of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank, at a time when the occupation army arrested 16 Palestinians during its storming of areas in the West Bank.
The military wing of the movement, the Tulkarm Brigade, said that its fighters confronted the forces storming the city.
The occupation forces also stormed the town of Silat Al-Dhahr, south of Jenin, the village of Iraq Burin, and the town of Jama’in, south of Nablus.
In the southern West Bank, the occupation forces stormed the towns of Husan and Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, and raided and searched dozens of homes, set up barriers, and closed the entrances to the two towns in search of the perpetrator of a shooting attack that occurred west of Bethlehem.
Yesterday, a Palestinian driving a car opened fire on an Israeli border guard patrol in the area between the towns of Husan and Al-Khader, west of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank. Arrests
In the same context, the Israeli occupation army arrested 16 Palestinians during its storming of areas in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club stated, in a statement today, Saturday, that the occupation forces arrested at least 16 citizens from the West Bank, including former prisoners, from yesterday evening until this morning.
The arrests were distributed among the governorates of Hebron (south), Qalqilya, Nablus, Tulkarm (north), and Jerusalem, according to the statement.
The arrests were accompanied by attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to vandalism and destruction of citizens’ homes, according to the Prisoner’s Club.
According to the club, “the number of arrests since the start of the ongoing war of genocide and comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people has reached more than 11,900 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem (…) without Gaza, whose numbers are estimated in the thousands.”
In parallel with the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, the occupation army expanded its operations, and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in a total of 797 deaths and about 6,600 wounded, according to official Palestinian data.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 149,000 Palestinians martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world. .
