On the 99th day of the aggression, areas in the Gaza Strip witnessed intense bombardment and clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation forces, while the complete interruption of communications and Internet services in the Strip continues for the second day.

The Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – announced that it had targeted 4 Israeli Merkava tanks and a troop carrier with Al-Yassin 105 shells east of Khan Yunis.

It also said that it detonated an anti-personnel device against an Israeli force of 4 soldiers near the tunnel east of Khan Yunis, noting that it left its members dead and wounded.

The brigades added that they bombed a gathering of occupation vehicles and soldiers east of Khan Yunis with heavy-caliber mortar shells.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that fierce clashes took place between the Palestinian resistance and the invading occupation forces, amid violent artillery shelling on Khan Yunis.

Martyrs and wounded

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today, Saturday, that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip, since October 7, has risen to 23,843 martyrs and 60,317 injured.

Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a statement, “The 99th day of the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip witnesses more massacres, destruction, and wiping out of residential neighborhoods.”

He added, “The Israeli occupation committed 12 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, killing 135 martyrs,” and 312 Palestinians were injured during the past 24 hours.

The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs also accused Israel of obstructing efforts to send aid to the northern Gaza Strip.

The areas surrounding Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah are witnessing clashes and Israeli ground operations, noting that this hospital is the only one capable of providing health services and treating the wounded in the middle of the Gaza Strip.

The occupation aircraft had targeted residential buildings in the area adjacent to the hospital, while Israeli army soldiers were only hundreds of meters away from the hospital, according to eyewitnesses.

The remaining doctors at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital warned that the approaching military operations threaten the lives of premature infants, who are trying to preserve their lives amid the power outage.

Hours ago, heavy gunfire and artillery shelling were heard in the areas of Qaizan al-Najjar and al-Batn al-Samin in Khan Yunis.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that an Israeli bombing resulted in the death of a number of Palestinians in the town of Abasan, east of Khan Yunis.

The correspondent also reported that two Palestinians were killed and wounded in an Israeli bombing that targeted a car on the Western Rafah Road, south of the Gaza Strip.

Local sources said that the occupation bombed two cars near Fares Petroleum Company in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Yunis, amid appeals to send ambulances to the place.

Communications interruption

In the same context, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent confirmed the death of 3 Palestinians and the injury of others in the bombing by an Israeli march on the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, and clashes with heavy machine guns took place in the city.

Although the clashes are concentrated in the center and south of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli bombing is still targeting the residents of northern Gaza, who are facing tragic conditions.

For its part, the Israeli occupation army said that it destroyed missile platforms that were ready to be launched in Al-Mughraqa in the central Gaza Strip, without adding further details.

The Palestinian resistance factions have not commented on the Israeli announcement yet.

In the same context, the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that the complete interruption of communications and Internet services in the Gaza Strip continues for the second day in a row as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

Wafa added that the extent of the destruction in the communications sector in Gaza reached more than 80%, in addition to the exposure of the technical crews responsible for repairing the damage to direct targeting while carrying out their work, despite prior coordination with the occupation through international institutions.

This is the seventh time – since the start of the war on October 7 – that communications have been completely cut off from the besieged sector, threatening efforts to rescue the injured.
