Clashes between Authority Security and resistance fighters in Jenin, and water and electricity outages for the 26th day news

Eyewitnesses said that the Jenin camp in the northern West Bank has witnessed – since Thursday morning – intermittent clashes between the Palestinian security services and resistance fighters from the Jenin Brigade, affiliated with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement.

Circulating pictures showed renewed clashes in the vicinity of the camp. This comes as the power and water outage in Jenin continues for the 26th day.

Meanwhile, local media said that the Palestinian security services in Jenin arrested the two young men pursued by the Israeli occupation forces, Hashem Hanaysha from the town of Qabatiya, and Musa Al-Wawi from the town of Silat Al-Harithiya.

It was also reported that the young man, Aziz Darwish, brother of Youssef Darwish, who was being pursued by the occupation forces, was arrested from the village of Triangle of Martyrs, south of Jenin.

On the other hand, Palestinians in Jenin camp expressed their concern about the Palestinian Authority closing the Tel Aviv Tribune office, and saw it as a step to obscure the truth about the events in the camp.

The security services of the Palestinian Authority say that they are continuing their operations in the camp – which they began about 4 weeks ago – to arrest those they describe as outlaws.

The clashes sparked after the authority arrested the two young men, Ibrahim Tubasi and Imad Abu al-Haija, which sparked the anger of the Jenin Brigade, which held the authority’s cars hostage to demand their release.

The authority rejected the Jenin Brigade’s demand to release the two young men, and launched an operation it called “Protecting a Homeland,” and said it aimed to “restore security and stability and save the lives of citizens from the increasing security chaos.”

However, the Jenin Brigade confirms that the Palestinian Authority wants “Jenin without resistance weapons,” and stresses that “the fighters’ compass is clear and is against the Israeli occupation only.”

Clashes usually break out between resistance fighters and PA security personnel in the cities of the northern West Bank, especially Jenin and Tulkarm, coinciding with the ongoing invasions of the occupation forces and Israeli settlers’ attacks and genocide against the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.
