Civilians in Rafah… terror and displacement from the last resort News

Civilians’ fears escalated in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, on Tuesday, after the occupation took control of the only crossing linking the city and the Strip to Egypt and the outside world.

The occupation’s storming of the crossing came after a night of violent bombardment that targeted its surroundings and areas east of the city crowded with displaced persons, prompting people to flee Rafah, which was described as a last resort.

Occupation tanks stormed the crossing on Tuesday morning, and social media platforms circulated scenes of one of these tanks storming the crossing from the Palestinian side and arriving at the arrivals hall building.

The movement of passengers and the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings has completely stopped.

The pictures also documented the confusion of the displaced – especially women and children – as they searched for passages and safe havens that could provide them with escape from the oppression of the occupation, which dropped leaflets from the air calling on them to evacuate the east of the city and move to its west.
