The blind bombing of the Israeli army of the city of Gaza reduces whole districts in rubble, forcing residents to flee in panic, nowhere in complete safety in the enclave, which has been under the relentless bombing for 23 months.
The 24-hour assault on what UNICEF nicknamed the “City of Fear” included an attack on a tent in the Tal al-Ha district which wiped out an entire family of five people, including three children.

Video sequences of the attack showed the Palestinians outside the damaged tents, clarifying the dispersed effects, including a pair of pink slippers stained with blood that were among the debris.
“My children and I slept in the tent when we heard the sound of bombing. The bursts of shells fell on us and my four children began to shout,” Israa Al-Basous told the AFP news agency.
Attacks have been reported in the districts of Zeitoun, Sabra, Tuffah, Nassr and Shujayea of Gaza City, while the soldiers erased whole districts in its attempt to hunt about a million people from the largest urban center in the enclave.
The heavy bombing in the Tuffah district killed at least eight people and injured dozens of others, according to Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the territory’s civil emergency service.
In Shujayea, an Israeli strike on a residential building killed at least two people, according to a source of ambulance. And in Zeitoun, three bodies were removed dead under the rubble of a destroyed house which belonged to the Al-Ghaf family.
“They move from one zone to another less dangerous, but still in the range of Israeli military fires, air strikes and bombing,” said Hani Mahmoud of Tel Aviv Tribune, reported by Gaza City.
Mahmoud said that many moved moved in the hope of finding security for a few days, only to find himself moved again.
Many had fled to the city Sheikh Radwan district, only to find tanks that grow in the region northwest of the city center, destroying houses and causing fires in tent camps.
Hospitals have been overwhelmed with victims. At the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the ground of the morgue was dotted with bodies wrapped in white tinks.
A woman caressed the head of her dead son while her body was lying outside on a stretcher.
“Who are you leaving for, son?” For what? For what? She cried.
Tess Ingram, director of communications for UNICEF for the Middle East and North Africa, warned that nearly a million people were trapped in the “city of fear, flights and funeral”.
In total, 44 was killed Thursday in Gaza City.
75 killed through the enclave
While terrified residents dispersed in order to find a shelter of bombs, the Israeli military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said that the troops now held 40% of the city.
The operation, he said, “would continue to develop and intensify” in the coming days.

On Thursday, Israel also bombed the Nuseirat refugee camp in Central Gaza, killing seven people, including three children.
And in southern Rafah, Israeli forces shot a group of people looking for help near a distribution point, killing seven and injuring more.
On the other side of the enclave, 75 people were killed by attacks on the ground and air of the Israeli army since dawn.
They blame France and others for Israeli abuses
While diplomatic efforts to find the end of the war in Gaza have Bégayé, the Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, sought to blame the countries which plan to recognize a Palestinian state for the abuses of Israel in occupied West Bank.

Also on Thursday, the United States added three eminent Palestinian rights groups, Al-Haq, Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) and Al Mezan Center for Human Rights on its list of sanctions. Rubio said that the rights defense groups had been targeted for having “directly committed efforts from the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate, stop, hold or pursue Israeli nationals, without the consent of Israel”.
Last year, the ICC released arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Yoav Gallant Defense Minister for war crimes.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also put in France, saying that he had declared to the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noel Barrot, there was “no place” for a visit by French president Emmanuel Macron as long as Paris persisted in “efforts which harm Israel’s interests”.
Thursday, the vice-president of the European Commission, Teresa Ribera, described the war in Gaza as “genocide” and criticized the block of 27 nations for not having acted to arrest him. Until now, the senior officials of the European Union have moved away from the term to describe the actions of Israel in Gaza who have killed more than 64,000 Palestinians, most women and children.
