The Israeli military assault on Gaza City continues constantly, causing the murder of more than 50 Palestinians, including aid seekers because it seeks to take control of the largest urban center in the enclave – which houses some 1 million people.
At least 105 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in Gaza while Israeli strikes densely populated, in particular the Al-Sabra district, which has been attacked for days. At least 32 of them were killed when looking for help.
The attacks are intensified while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel was facing a “decisive stadium” of the war when he is preparing to seize the city of Gaza despite the world conviction.
“The Palestinians are in a cage in Gaza City at the moment, trying to survive as many air strikes as possible. Wherever they go, the air strikes follow them,” said the posterior Khoudary of Tel Aviv Tribune.
“They also die from the blockade of food and aid because they are unable to obtain fundamental means of subsistence,” she said, postponing Deir El-Balah in the center of Gaza.
The Palestinians have trouble surviving double threats of targeted attacks and famine, with at least 13 people who die of famine in the last 24 hours, which gave the total number of deaths linked to hunger since the war began at 361. Eight-three of these deaths was recorded since a global hunting instructor confirmed the Famine Conditions in Gaza on August 22.
Among the people killed on Tuesday, there were at least 21 people, including seven children, who were struck by an Israeli drone when he was tailoring for water in the Al-Mawasi region near Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The images published online by the spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defense Mahmoud Basal have shown that the bodies of children and the water containers stained with blood on the attack site, which Israel had previously declared a so-called “safe zone”.
“They were lining up to fill the water … when the occupation forces targeted them directly, transforming their search for life into a new massacre,” Basal said on Tuesday.
In Gaza City, an Israeli strike in the family home in al-AF killed 10 people, mainly women and children, said Gaza officials.
“These crimes expose the criminal fascist nature of the enemy,” said the Gaza government media office in a statement, accusing Washington of complicity. He described Israel’s actions as “war crimes under international law” and urged the United Nations Security Council to arrest “brutal genocide”.
Two other journalists, Rasmi Salem from Al-Manara and Eman Al-Zamli, were killed in the last attacks, bringing the total number of journalists killed since October 7, 2023, more than 270. The war in Gaza became the deadliest conflict for media workers ever, according to Watchdogs de la Presse.
Israel begins an assault on the ground in Gaza City
On Tuesday, thousands of Israeli reservists reported homework while the efforts to end the war seemed to block.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Majed Al-Ansari, said that Hamas had accepted a cease-fire proposal, but that Israel had not yet answered.
“There has not yet been an Israeli response,” he said, adding that negotiations with mediators and the United States had blocked. He warned that Israel’s plan to occupy Gaza “is a threat to everyone,” including Israeli captives.
But Israel has tightened its headquarters in Gaza City in recent days, except deliveries of humanitarian aid even limited.
The Chief of the Israeli Army Staff Eyal Zamir confirmed that the ground operations intensified. “We are going to deepen our operation,” he told reservists while tens of thousands of soldiers have been called. The Israeli media reported that 365 soldiers refused to come to the service.
Prime Minister Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court for War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity, said in a video statement on Tuesday that “we are working to defeat Hamas”.
The Houthi movement of Yemen said that its forces launched four drones targeting Israel’s head office near Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion airport, a power plant, and the port of Ashdod, a few days after Israel killed Yemenite Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi with senior Sanaa officials.
The group said its drones “successfully reach their targets”. He also said that a missile and drone attack struck a loading ship in the Red Sea for violating a ban on entering Israeli ports.
International “indifference” to Palestine
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed Belgium on Tuesday to recognize Palestine’s state and urged other nations to follow the plunge, claiming that it was “online with international law and United Nations resolutions” and necessary to stop “genocide, displacement, famine and annexion”.
In a separate declaration, the ministry accused the international community of “alarmed” indifference to the economic collapse of Gaza and the seizure of Israel of Palestinian tax revenues. He called for urgent financial support to “improve the resilience of citizens and their constancy on the soil of their homeland”.
