A child burns to death following the attack on the school that has become-Shelter in Gaza City.

At least 10 people were killed in an Israeli attack which sparked a fire in a school that houses displaced people from Gaza City, including a child burned to death in the fire.

The Palestinian Civil Defense said that his emergency workers had recovered 10 bodies early Wednesday morning after the school attack, where forcibly displaced people were sheltered. A large number of people have also been injured, he said in an article on the Telegram messaging platform.

“Children are burned while they sleep in the displaced tents,” wrote Anas Al-Sharif, Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent on social networks after the attack.

“There are no safe areas and no survivors of this genocide. Gaza City and its northern areas were subjected to heavy Israeli bombings and artillery for hours,” he said.

Video sequences shared on social networks after the attack on school that has become flames have shown flames to engulf the tent structures and the canvas covering the cast iron on the remains of burning chairs and which seemed to be a bed frame.

The Civil Defense also launched an urgent appeal using the Red Cross International Committee to help save people trapped under the rubble after the Israeli bombing of two houses in the Tuffah district of Gaza City.

“People trapped call for help saving them from the rubble from houses,” said civil defense in a statement, adding that emergency workers were unable to reach the region because it was too dangerous, because the area is designated an “without Go” area by Israeli forces.

Our colleagues from Tel Aviv Tribune Arab and local Palestinian media also reported that a child was one of two people killed Wednesday morning during an Israeli attack on tent shelters in the Jabalia refugee camp north of Gaza.

One person was also reported and several injured in an Israeli drone attack on tent shelters in the so-called “security zone” in Al-Mawasi, south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Intense Israeli artillery fires and air attacks were reported through the band in the early hours of the morning.
