After being the ambassador of Palestine refugees to the United Nations for the year 2023, before the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, Ahmed Marwan Abu Daqqa became a bed sitter due to an Israeli bombing that targeted him and led to an injury that prevented him from walking on his feet.

This Palestinian child hoped – as he stated in a previous speech – that one day the children of Gaza, refugee students, and Palestinian students in general would wake up with optimism and not fear, but today they wake up with fear, as Ahmed said.

Ahmed (15 years old) says that his dreams were big, but today his dream is to walk on his feet again, and to travel abroad in order to complete his treatment.

After his appointment as an ambassador for Palestine refugees to the United Nations, the Palestinian child had multiple activities in student parliaments.

According to what his father, Dr. Marwan Daqqa, revealed, he was surprised by shrapnel entering Ahmed’s right foot as a result of an Israeli bombing, which led to it breaking.

When young men who were close to him came to help him, another missile targeted them.

Ahmed – as his father revealed – was unable to move from bed during the first two weeks of his injury.
