A Dutch advisory body says European countries should do more to prevent wider conflict.

European countries are under pressure to become more involved in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Almost all EU countries showed unequivocal support for Israel following the attack by Hamas on October 7.

But as the relentless shelling of Gaza continues, many have begun to change, some even going so far as to impose an arms embargo on Israel.

The Dutch government has been criticized from within for not doing enough in response to the conflict and has been urged to join other European countries to help prevent the conflict from spreading.

How could this idea become reality?

Presenter: Cyrille Vanier

Guests

James Moran – Associate Senior Research Fellow at the Center for European Policy Studies

Emmanuel Dupuy – President of the Institute for European Perspective and Security
