CAN 2024: Senegal ensures, disappointment for Cameroon and Algeria

The CAN entered its 3rd day of competition, Monday, with the entry of Senegal, defending champion. The Lions of Teranga did not tremble as they began the defense of their crown: 3-0 victory for Aliou Cissé’s men, including a double for young Lamine Camara.

Disappointment on the other hand for the Cameroonians, deprived of their scorer and captain Vincent Aboubakar. The Indomitable Lions were held in check by valiant Guineans, despite being outnumbered during the second half.

There is also a slowdown for Algeria, which intends to take its revenge after its exit in the first round two years ago. The Fennecs shared the points with the Angolans and already have a joker.
