The passenger on a bus from Lille to Brussels raised the alarm about a potential risk of terrorist attack this Thursday, January 11.
A passenger bus from Lille en route to Brussels was stopped by Belgian federal police when a passenger contacted police after hearing other travelers talking about a possible terrorist attack.
The police diverted the vehicle towards Wetteren, near Ghent, where they then checked all the travelers. According to the Belgian police spokesperson, three of the 46 passengers were arrested.
The East Flanders public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation.
