The military and strategic expert, retired Brigadier General Elias Hanna, believes that the Lebanese Hezbollah achieved a military achievement in numbers and targets, through the missiles and drones it launched towards Israel.
He said that in 2006, the rate of rocket firing by Hezbollah at Israel was between 115 and 120 per day, but the party did not target the Israeli depth as it does today.
Brigadier General Hanna adds that the new thing in Hezbollah’s operations currently is targeting the Binyamina base south of Haifa and Caesarea, which is a targeting that falls within what he called the principle of infliction that Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, spoke about in his last speech.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office announced that “a drone was launched from Lebanon and directly hit Benjamin Netanyahu’s house in Caesarea.” Israeli Army Radio confirmed that the drone was of the type that struck the Golani Brigade camp and would be difficult to intercept.

Regarding how the drone reached the target, Brigadier General Hanna explains that there are several types of drones, and it is said that “Marsad 1” targeted the Binyamina base, in which 6 Israeli soldiers were killed. Knowing that the Caesarea area is not far from the military base.
A drone from Iraq targeted a military center in the occupied Golan, which means that there is a new phase of confrontation between the Israeli occupation and the resistance.
Regarding whether the Israeli defenses will develop themselves in order to confront the drones, Brigadier General Hanna said that Israel is benefiting from the experience of Ukraine, and exchanges have begun between the two sides in this field, and Tel Aviv has also summoned the most important technological companies related to weapons manufacturing to find a solution to it.
