Bloomberg website quoted informed sources as saying that US officials are preparing for the possibility of a military strike against Iran in the coming days.
The sources, which spoke, provided that its identities were not disclosed, confirmed that the situation is still under evaluation and development and may have changed at any moment, noting that the strike may be implemented during the weekend.
One of them added that senior leaders in a number of federal agencies have already started preparing for a possible attack, and said that all the options were on the table.
The site indicated that US President Donald Trump is closely following developments, and said yesterday, Wednesday, “I may do it, and I may not do it,” in a hint that a military strike may be might be caused to Iran.
For its part, the American newspaper “Wall Street Journal” revealed that President Trump informed his senior assistants that he “agreed to attack Iran, but he has not yet issued the final order to implement it.”
The newspaper, quoting informed sources, said that Trump is waiting to see whether Iran will agree to abandon its nuclear program or not.
She added that the Iranian “Fordo” facility for uranium enrichment, fortified under one of the mountains, is a potential target, but hitting it will require the use of the most powerful weapons in the American arsenal.
On the other hand, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei refused Trump’s demand for “unconditional surrender”, and warned that any direct American intervention in defense of Israel would have “unintended consequences.”
Since the dawn of June 13, Israel has launched an American support for an aggression against Iran, including bombing nuclear facilities, missile bases, the assassination of military leaders and nuclear scientists, which resulted in 224 dead and 1277 wounded, while Tehran responded with ballistic missiles and drones, which left about 24 dead and about 2000 wounded.
