Moscow and Minsk have launched the second phase of joint military exercises involving, in particular, tactical nuclear weapons.

The Russian Minister of Defense discusses maneuvers to support the reaction capabilities of the two armies to defend the territorial integrity of the common space.

The Army and Air Force of both countries are participating in the exercises taking place in Belarus.

At the beginning of May, Moscow spoke of military exercises involving non-strategic nuclear weapons.

The Russian decision to organize these exercises followed statements by Emmanuel Macron who said he would not rule out the possibility of sending Western troops on the ground to Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin has regularly threatened the West to use its nuclear weapons in the event of a direct threat to Russia.

The military exercises in Belarus are taking place while a summit for Peace and reconstruction in Ukraine will be held in Switzerland from June 15 to 16.

90 states and organizations are registered there. Russia was not invited.
