A Jerusalemite couple received a postal package stating that they had been fined by the occupation authorities an amount equivalent to 13 thousand dollars, due to the place where they parked their vehicle in the Wadi Al-Rababa neighborhood in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said, “The occupation municipality imposed a fine of 50,000 shekels on Jerusalemite Shadi Samrin and his wife, under the pretext of parking their vehicle on land that the occupation claims is a Jewish cemetery in the Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood in the town of Silwan.”
For his part, Samreen told the Wadi Hilweh Human Rights Information Center in Jerusalem that he was surprised yesterday, Tuesday, by a call from the postman informing him that there was registered mail for him and his wife. After receiving the mail, it turned out that it contained two paper files in his name and his wife’s name, “which is an approval to register a case in The Israeli courts fined me and my wife a fine of 50,000 shekels for parking our vehicles next to our house.”

He added that 4 others were fined in the same neighborhood, and the allegation is “violating the sanctity of cemeteries and insulting the feelings of those buried in these fake cemeteries, but the real goal is to put pressure on us and get us out, but we are steadfast and will not achieve the goal of the occupation.”
On the other hand, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation authorities completed the demolition of the homes of two brothers in the town of Jabal Mukaber, south of occupied Jerusalem, “after forcing them to self-demolish them yesterday, forcibly.”
She added that the occupation forces also demolished parts of another house in the Ras Khamis neighborhood, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
According to governorate data, the occupation demolished 18 residential, commercial and agricultural facilities in Jerusalem during the current week, bringing the number of facilities demolished since the beginning of November to 37 facilities, including 6 facilities that were forcibly demolished by their owners.
