On Monday, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof met with Volodymyr Zelensky.

On his first official visit, he announced a new aid programme that is both political, military and financial.

“We announced today, on behalf of the Dutch cabinet, that we will support Ukraine with an additional €210 million, to keep the energy infrastructure running and to rebuild it or build new one if necessary.”

Still accompanied by President Zelensky, Schoof also visited an underground school in Zaporizhia where classes are held in a nuclear shelter because of the war.

For his part, Vladimir Putin used the start of the school year to communicate on the fate of Russian children in Kursk, Belgorod and Briansk, who are studying remotely with the fighting in progress.

He spoke to a class from Kyzyl during his trip.

“Of course, the country and our armed forces will do everything to ensure that normal life in these regions, normal life for these children, is restored.”

Russian television also reports that schools in Kursk have been equipped with bomb shelters to protect against Ukrainian strikes hitting the region.
