Four bolts were missing on the 737 MAX 9, a door of which came off while the plane was climbing on January 5.

This is the conclusion of the investigation by the American Transportation Safety Agency (NTSB).

Investigators blame Boeing.

They say planemaker employees removed the bolts during an inspection of the plane in October last year.

Shortly after the incident, United Airlines found “bolts that needed to be tightened” on aircraft of the same model.
