At the initiative of the British coalition…anticipated marches to support Gaza in 45 countries News

The pro-Palestine coalition in Britain announced global marches in support of Gaza tomorrow, Saturday, in more than 120 cities, within 45 countries around the world.

In a statement by the coalition, it said, “It is expected that the global march in support of Palestine in London will resonate as a pivotal event within the framework of the International Day of Solidarity for Gaza throughout the world.”

Hundreds of thousands of protesters are expected to participate in it, in conjunction with other demonstrations in more than 120 cities in 45 countries, according to the statement.

The coalition statement explained, “This major event is organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Palestinian Forum in Britain, the Stop the War Coalition, the Nuclear Disarmament Campaign, Friends of Al-Aqsa, and the Islamic League in Britain.”

“The massive crowds aim to send a strong message to the British government and the entire international community, and to intensify pressure to get Israel to stop its ongoing brutal attacks on Gaza,” according to the statement.

According to the statement, this mass movement “represents a global popular trial against the occupation to achieve rights, establish justice, reject injustice, and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.”

These anticipated demonstrations come at a time when the International Court of Justice continues its hearings in the lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel for committing genocide crimes against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, demanding an immediate end to the war that Israel has been waging against the Strip for 98 days.

The statement stated that in the midst of these demonstrations, the investigation conducted by the International Court of Justice constitutes a “significant and symbolic milestone,” adding that “this legal investigation not only highlights the seriousness of the alleged crimes, but also highlights a tangible shift in global public opinion, as well as demonstrating the shortcomings of the justifications.” Provided by the Governments of the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that, as of Friday, left 23,708 martyrs, 60,050 injured, most of them children and women, massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to the Gaza Strip authorities and the United Nations.
