A touching farewell

In poignant words, Wael Al Dahdouh eulogized his son Hamza and said in an interview with Tel Aviv Tribune, “There is nothing more difficult than the pain of loss, and when you experience this pain again and again, things become more difficult and more severe, but what can we say? God suffices me, and He is the best disposer of affairs. This is our choice and our destiny, and we must We are satisfied with it no matter what it is, so our hope is that God will be satisfied with us and write us among the patient ones.”

He addressed his martyr son with a speech and said: I say to Hamza and all the martyrs that we are in the covenant. This is a path that we chose voluntarily, we gave it a lot, and we watered it with blood, because this is our destiny and we are continuing, and this is a great challenge.

He described his eldest son as not just a part of him, he is the whole, the soul of the soul and everything, and he continued, “The Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, cried and was sad, and these are tears of sadness and separation, which separate us from the enemies. We are saturated with humanity and they are saturated with murder and hatred, and therefore we cry and shed tears, but they are Tears of humanity, generosity, and chivalry, not tears of alarm, fear, and resignation.”

A number of members of the family of our colleague Wael Al-Dahdouh – including his wife, son, daughter and grandson – were previously martyred in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house to which they were displaced in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
