Arms race: French industry on a war footing

When in February 2022, Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine, several Western countries committed to sending weapons, ammunition and military equipment to kyiv. In France, this resulted in an increase in industrial production. Emmanuel Macron also declared that France had entered a “war economy”. But what does this “war economy” actually mean? How is the “Made in France” arms industry trying to adapt to this increased demand? Report by Fadile Bhayat and Claire Paccalin.
