Funeral of martyrs
Yesterday, Tuesday, Palestinian crowds mourned the martyrs Muhammad Ashqar and Diaa Salmi in Qalqilya and Muhammad Abu Kishk in Nablus, who were martyred by bullets from the Israeli occupation forces.
The Shiite procession began in a military funeral before the body of the martyr Abu Kishk was transported to his hometown in the Askar camp, and the mourners chanted slogans denouncing the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.
Muhammad Ashqar and Diaa Salmi were martyred in the vicinity of the apartheid wall near the city when they attempted to cross the wall into Israel for the purpose of searching for work, while Muhammad Abu Kishk, 18 years old, was martyred after being shot by Israeli occupation forces during their storming of the popular housing area and Askar Hill, east of the city.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the occupation forces prevented ambulance crews from approaching the young man until he died of his injury.
Since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023, the Israeli army has launched widespread attacks in the West Bank under the pretext of thwarting armed Palestinian attacks in the bud.
These attacks resulted in the death of more than 800 Palestinians, the injury of about 6,500, and the arrest of more than 11,000 others, according to official Palestinian data.
