Armed clashes after the occupation army stormed the northern West Bank | News

The Israeli occupation forces stormed several cities and towns in the occupied West Bank at dawn on Sunday, and clashes broke out between them and the resistance fighters.

The Al-Quds Brigades – Jenin Battalion announced that its fighters opened fire on the occupation forces as they passed through the entrances to the city with heavy volleys of bullets and explosive devices.

The resistance also announced targeting the occupation forces with an explosive device near Al-Ahmadayn roundabout in the city.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces arrested a young man in the town of Yamoun, and stormed the towns of Jaba and Araba near Jenin.

In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced that its fighters “targeted the Zionist forces around Bab al-Saha with a highly explosive device,” and indicated that they confronted “the Zionist enemy forces storming the Old City.”

In the southern West Bank, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.

The Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the city of Jenin and its camp after invading it for 10 days in an operation that resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded, and left extensive destruction to the infrastructure.

The occupation army did not confirm its withdrawal from the West Bank, but merely said that “Israeli forces are still active in order to achieve the goals of the counter-terrorism operation.”

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Israeli military operation in the northern West Bank left 36 martyrs and 150 wounded, and caused extensive damage to infrastructure and homes.

In parallel with its war on Gaza since October 2023, the Israeli army expanded its operations in the West Bank and settlers escalated their attacks, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 690 Palestinians, including more than 150 children, the injury of thousands of others, and the arrest of more than 10,400, according to official Palestinian institutions.
