Arab and Western demonstrations in support of Palestine continue News

Yesterday, Friday, Arab and Western cities witnessed demonstrations in support of the Palestinians and denouncing the Israeli aggression, amid calls for the prosecution of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defense Minister Yoav Galant.

Jordanians demonstrated in the center of the capital, Amman, denouncing the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators saluted the Palestinian resistance and called for its support. They also demanded the opening of the Rafah crossing and intensifying the sending of aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

Thousands also demonstrated in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, denouncing the continuation of the Israeli war on Gaza and demanding the delivery of aid to the Strip.

The demonstrators demanded that Israel be tried for committing what they described as war crimes against the Palestinian people.

A demonstration took place in the city of Taiz, southwest of Yemen, to denounce the war of genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, the destruction of infrastructure, and the imposition of a siege on the cities of the Strip.

The participants in the demonstration denounced the international position, which they described as weak towards what is happening in Gaza, and reluctant to take a firm stance against the Israeli occupation.

The demonstrators demanded an immediate end to the war, an end to the siege, and the referral of members of the Israeli government and its army commanders to the International Criminal Court as war criminals.

The Iraqi capital, Baghdad, witnessed a march and protest in support of the Gaza Strip, and the participants stressed the need to stop the war on the Gaza Strip and demand an end to normalization processes with Israel.

The participants also stressed the importance of continuing to boycott the products of countries that support Israel in support of Palestine and the resistance.

Netanyahu and Gallant trial

In Mauritania, a march took place in the capital, Nouakchott, to demand an end to the aggression against Gaza and the lifting of the siege.

The demonstrators chanted slogans demanding the activation of the arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and the lack of equality between the victim and the executioner, as they put it.

They also called for an end to the displacement and starvation to which the Palestinians are subjected.

For its part, the Moroccan Authority for Supporting the Nation’s Issues announced that it would organize 105 demonstrations in 46 cities in the Kingdom yesterday, Friday, in support of the Gaza Strip.

The (non-governmental) Authority stated in a statement, a copy of which was received by Anatolia Agency, that it organized “105 vigils and marches in 46 cities, in response to the Authority’s call, in solidarity with Gaza and all of Palestine on the 33rd Friday of Al-Aqsa Flood.”

Among the cities that witnessed these stops and marches were Marrakesh (north), Berkane and Guercif (east), El Jadida and Safi (west), and Taroudant (centre), according to the statement.

In the same context, students from the University of Edinburgh continue an open sit-in in solidarity with Gaza, and to demand the withdrawal of investments from companies they consider to be complicit with Israel.

A number of students have been carrying out a hunger strike since the end of last month to put pressure on the university administration to meet their demands.

In the United States, pro-Palestine students set up a new camp on the University of California campus in solidarity with Gaza, weeks after their first camp was violently attacked by counter-demonstrators and was dismantled by police.

The University of California branch of the “Students for Justice in Palestine” organization called on the students to participate in the gathering, amid a heavy presence of security personnel at the university.
