Analysts and experts questioned the “Path of Events” program in the goals of the American -backed Israeli mechanism to distribute aid in the Gaza Strip, and said that it raises legal and moral questions, and excluded its success due to the issue of financing.
Two days after it is allowed to enter limited aid to the Gaza Strip, the Israeli government is trying to impose a new model for distributing humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip through an institution named “The Humanitarian Aid Corporation for Gaza” that works in coordination with two American companies in the fields of security and logistics.
The Benjamin Netanyahu government is seeking to reformulate the relief action to serve its security and military goals and achieve its plan to undermine the relief action provided by the international organizations, especially the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
Displacement
The researcher and activist in humanitarian work, Dr. Othman Al -Smadi, said that the removal of the Israeli occupation of the UN relief organizations and other organizations calls for a question about the unannounced goals of what is called the “Humanitarian Aid Corporation of Gaza”, noting that the position of this organization in the southern Gaza Strip raises legal and moral questions, because the Fourth Geneva Convention talks about the introduction of aid to all the population.
He considered that what the Israeli occupation is doing is an explicit violation of all international laws, warning of the seriousness of his plan for the lives of Gazans who are subjected to a starvation campaign that leads to many deaths.
For his part, the academic and expert on Israeli affairs, Dr. Muhannad Mustafa, believes that the primary goal of the occupation is to try to collect the Gazans in the southern Gaza regions of their displacement, a plan that he said that thinking had started with the so -called “general plan”, and the other goal is to try to weaken the Islamic resistance movement (Hamas), which the occupation claims to seize part of aid.
As for the other goals – Mustafa adds – related to the occupation’s endeavor to destroy Palestinian infrastructure and prevent the establishment of committees that can distribute aid, in addition to seeking to destroy any social entity in Gaza, pointing out that the Israeli plan is based on the fragmentation and dispersal of Palestinian society.
According to the military and strategic expert, Brigadier Elias Hanna, the Israeli occupation aims to militarize humanitarian aid through the establishment of an institution that controls it, so that the process of distributing aid is proceeding in parallel with the military operation that it is waging on the Gaza Strip, which will reduce Israel – according to its opinion – the pressure that society exercises to an international because of the human suffering of the Gazans.
The Israeli occupation also aims, through its mechanism for the distribution of aid – Brigadier Hanna – continues to collect information about the Palestinians who will go to receive aid as he did in previous periods through artificial intelligence programs.
Apostate
On the extent of the success of the Israeli -American mechanism for the distribution of aid, the expert on Israeli affairs, Dr. Mustafa, indicated that the financing is the biggest challenge of Tel Aviv, especially as it does not want to finance any humanitarian aid to Gaza, and that the Europeans refused to provide any funding, and it is likely that the occupation’s plan for this reason and a rebound on it.
However, the researcher and activist in humanitarian work, Dr. Al -Smadi, said that Israel is the spoiled child of the United States, and that the latter may have decided to send food to the Gazans instead of sending weapons to Israel to kill them.
It is noteworthy that several parties refused to deal with the US -backed Israeli mechanism, as UNRWA Commissioner -General Philip Lazarini has excluded the success of the plan, and said, “It seems that the new humanitarian aid plan in Gaza has been set for a more human military goal.”
Civil and civil society organizations in the sector also said that there is no local Palestinian and international organization ready to deal with the new security aid mechanism, which devotes the concept of food in exchange for security guardianship.
And last April, Israel proposed a “monitoring and aid entry mechanism” to Gaza, but the Secretary -General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, quickly refused, and said it threatens “with more restrictions on aid and controlling every calorie and accurate pill.”
