In the depth of the tragic human scene in the Gaza Strip, hunger is not only disrupting the images of shoes and pale faces, but also reveals as a central tool in a vehicle killing system, in which shells overlap with banking restrictions, and famine with the structural destruction of the health and economic environment.
The famine in the Gaza Strip is no longer just a side result of the war, but rather, according to the analysis of the guests of the “Path of Events” program, has become a deliberate policy that pleads with economic and political mechanisms to subject the population, by dismantling the entire societal structure, tightening the siege, and destroying the daily survival patterns.
This scene is highlighted in daily testimonies of doctors and correspondents who monitor an unprecedented collapse in the ability of the population to reach the lowest elements of life, amid a terrible food scarcity and deliberate absence of water and medicine.
As the streets turn into theaters for the fall of the hungry, it is no longer possible to separate medical symptoms and political options, as food deprivation becomes a deadly political drug.
In this context, the bombing is not the only tool for killing, but rather intersects with 4 other mechanisms, as prepared by Dr. Mustafa Al -Barghouthi, Secretary -General of the Palestinian National Initiative in his talk of the course of events.
The first of these mechanisms, direct starvation, then the diseases resulting from drinking polluted water and the absence of food, and the third of them environmental poisoning resulting from tens of thousands of tons of explosives, and the fourth is depriving patients of chronic treatments, in a scene that amounts to a compound of silent killing, according to Barghouti.
Paralyzed
This strategy is not practiced in secret, but is implemented in the sight of the international community, despite the international reports in which the words exceeded the limits of the description – as Tom Fletcher approved the United Nations Humanitarian Officer – the international reaction remains paralyzed, swinging between formal condemnation and practical collusion.
Worse, relief organizations such as the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” are no longer just relief valves, but rather – according to Barghouti – turned into systematic murders, as hundreds of Palestinians fell during their attempts to obtain food from their distribution points.
The most dangerous is that the starvation policy has become a double structure: destructive on the one hand, and deconstructive on the other hand, as it is not satisfied with the murder of the population physically, but also destroys the bonds of society, by unleashing war merchants, and encouraging local agents associated with the occupation to steal aid and resell them at fictional prices.
This escape environment has fed the phenomenon of blackmailing aid, as the transformers commissions reach 40%, in light of the collapse of the banking system in the sector due to the Israeli siege.
This interferes with the emergence of “legal uncertainty” at the international level, as the major powers -especially the United States -ignore all the documented facts that amount to the level of genocide according to the Rome Basic System.
While the International Criminal Court confirms the existence of arrest warrants against the Prime Minister of Israel and his former defense minister, Western countries deal with these notes as if they are advertisements that are not obligated to any executive act.
Targeting self -initiatives
In the midst of this catastrophe, even the self -initiatives – Kutkaya – are exposed to direct Israeli targeting, as these initiatives, which were originally launched from individuals or civil organizations, were subjected to an additional burden.
As the scarcity of supplies pushes it to compete for the few available in the markets, which exacerbates the high prices, and the local community is inserted into a closed hunger ring, explained by Dr. Othman Al -Samadi, the researcher and activist in humanitarian work.
Gaza turns into a political and social laboratory to test the limits of human patience, as starvation is not only a way to force the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to make concessions, but a strategy that falls on a broader project to empty the sector from its residents or reshape it under humiliating conditions, based on the “reconstruction in exchange for subjugation”, according to the description of Barghouti.
On the other hand, there is an existential challenge to the introduction of aid within the negotiating table, while relief is assumed to be a neutral tool under international law, which is used as a negotiating pressure card, Israel controls its timing and mechanism, and the inhabitants of Gaza, who are negotiating their most basic food and pharmaceutical rights.
In front of this dysfunctional equation, calls – according to former Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki – intensify to a popular Arab and international movement that regains the initiative, after the international institutions and the major countries abandoned it, as the people, and that their regimen, remains the last moral compass, capable of confronting the criminal when the world is silent, and the victory of the victim when everyone abandoned it.
Ultimately, the famine of Gaza is not a passing tragedy, but rather an intense reduction of the transformations of the international regime towards a more brutal form, as moral standards fall, and killing is granted elaborate economic and political mechanisms, working slowly but effectively.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has committed an American support for genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction and hybrid, ignoring international calls and orders issued by the International Court of Justice to stop it.
The extermination left more than 198,000 Palestinians between a martyr and a wounded – most of them children and women – in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced people and the famine that has been exhausted by the lives of many residents of the sector.
