The mother of Israeli soldier Ron Sherman, who was killed in Gaza after his capture in the October 7 attack, doubted the story of the Israeli army, which informed her that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) was the one who killed him.
Maayan Sherman, the mother of the slain soldier, said in statements to the Israeli Channel 12, “Who killed him, how, and what was the reason for the killing? According to the forensic doctor, his body was found intact. There were no signs of beatings, injuries, gunshot wounds, or fractures in the CT scan that was taken.” performed on him.”
Sherman asked: “Did the Israeli army sabotage the oxygen generators in order to eliminate everyone who was in the tunnels in Jabalia, including the kidnappers? For how many days did he starve, thirst, or suffer from a lack of oxygen? And why did they not try to save him if he was left there?”
The mother of the dead soldier expressed her anger at the Israeli government and its behavior, and said, “I paid the price for chaos, and for the power and pride of everyone who headed the default government, whose members are now also busy sprinkling coalition funds into unnecessary offices staffed by greedy and unnecessary people, instead of helping.” “Those who really need it.”
She added, “We hoped that Benny Gantz, whom we voted for in the elections, would save our son’s life, but we were wrong.”
She continued: “Before the memorial ceremony, there was a certain insistence by the Ministry of Defense on writing ‘He fell in battle’ on the grave. I asked what battle? They said it was to honor the dead, and of course I did not agree, because Ron did not fall in battle.”
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, had previously broadcast a video clip of 3 Israeli prisoners being held by it, which it said were killed by Israeli army weapons in the Gaza Strip. The video clip showed pictures of the three prisoners: Elijah Toledano, Nick Perz, and Ron Sherman.
The publication of the video clip came days after the army admitted to an Israeli on December 15 that it had “accidentally killed 3 Israeli prisoners” in Gaza, an incident that sparked outrage within Israeli society.
This is not the first time that the Al-Qassam Brigades have announced the killing of Israeli prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance by Israeli fire since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip.
The number of Israeli detainees in Gaza whose deaths were confirmed by the Israeli army reached 22 out of about 250 people, according to Agence France-Presse.
On October 7, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) launched an unprecedented attack on the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip, called “Al-Aqsa Flood,” in response to the occupation’s violations against Palestinian civilians and their sanctities. The resistance succeeded in killing and capturing hundreds of Israelis.
