The Israeli occupation army announced the death of one of its soldiers as a result of his wounds he sustained in the Tulkarm operation in the northwest of the West Bank a few days ago. Meanwhile, the occupation forces demolished two houses near Bethlehem and stormed the home of a prisoner in Hebron in preparation for its demolition. They also arrested 30 Palestinians in a series of raids in various areas in the West Bank. .

According to the Israeli Ministry of Health, the dead soldier was from the Al-Yamam special unit and was injured during a clash with Palestinian resistance fighters in the village of Deir Al-Ghusoun near Tulkarm.

On the other hand, last night, the occupation army continued its raids into several areas in the West Bank and arrested 30 Palestinians, according to what was announced by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club.

The incursions included the village of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, the western region of Nablus, the village of Asira, the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm, and the Shuafat camp north of Jerusalem, in addition to Bethlehem and the nearby town of Tuqu’, and the town of Sa’ir in the Hebron Governorate.

This comes as settlers continue their attacks on Palestinian farmers in the village of Qasra, south of the city of Nablus, where they destroyed and bulldozed agricultural lands east of the village.

Dozens of settlers, protected by occupation soldiers, were deployed at crossroads on the main road between Ramallah and Nablus, and attacked Palestinian cars and threw stones at them.

Hebron Municipality

In Hebron, the municipality said that the Israeli occupation authorities closed its old headquarters in preparation for seizing it. It said that Israeli forces closed the doors of the old building, the entrance to the old city of the city, with oxygen welding.

The municipality indicated that the occupation forces notified it about a year ago to evacuate the building, explaining that this was “a prelude to seizing it and handing it over to the settlers.”

Video clips on the X platform also documented an attempt by dozens of settlers to storm the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.

Demolition of houses

The occupation forces also demolished two Palestinian homes in the village of Al-Tuwaina, and the Wadi Al-Jawaya complex in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

In Bethlehem, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house under construction in the Jawfa Aziz area. An occupation army force, accompanied by bulldozers and vehicles, raided the area and proceeded to demolish the house under the pretext of not having a permit.

The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the family home of the prisoner deported to Gaza and recently rearrested, Mahmoud al-Qawasmi, in the city of Hebron, and conducted an engineering survey of it in preparation for its demolition.

The brother of the prisoner Al-Qawasmi told Al-Jazeera that one of the officers notified him that the house would be demolished soon, despite the occupation demolishing two houses of the same family earlier.

The occupation forces accuse the prisoner Al-Qawasmi and two of his brothers of being behind the kidnapping and killing of the three settlers in Hebron in 2014.

The occupation forces also stormed the village of Furush Beit Dajan, east of Nablus in the West Bank, demolished a house and notified most of the village’s homeowners of the demolition and removal. This came after the occupation forces earlier seized 11,000 dunums of village land.

In the village of Al-Jiftlik, north of the city of Jericho in the Jordan Valley, the occupation forces demolished 4 tin-roofed homes under the pretext of not having a permit.

Intentional execution

On the other hand, Human Rights Watch said that Israeli forces illegally used lethal force in shooting operations that killed Palestinians in the West Bank, and included the deliberate execution of Palestinians who did not pose any supposed security threat, based on the documentation of several cases since 2022.

The human rights organization added that executions of Palestinians in the West Bank are occurring at an unprecedented level and in an environment in which Israeli forces do not fear accountability from their government.

The organization called for the suspension of arming and other forms of military support for Israel due to the risk of complicity in grave violations in Palestine.

Human Rights Watch stressed the need to support the investigation conducted by the International Criminal Court into serious crimes committed in Palestine, and to impose sanctions on those responsible for grave violations.

High numbers of detainees

In the same context, the Commission for Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced in a joint statement that the number of detainees in the occupied West Bank had increased, and they said in a joint statement that the total number of arrests after October 7 reached more than 8,640 Palestinians, after 30 Palestinians were arrested in the West Bank in the evening. Yesterday, they included a woman and former prisoners.

According to the two institutions, the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Tulkarm, Nablus, Jenin, Ramallah, Jericho, Bethlehem, Hebron, and Jerusalem.

In parallel with its war on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army escalated its operations in the West Bank, leaving – in addition to arrests – 497 martyrs and about 4,950 wounded, according to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health as of yesterday evening, Tuesday.

Israel is waging a devastating war on Gaza that has left tens of thousands martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and massive destruction of housing, hospitals, schools, infrastructure, and agricultural lands, and causing a famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
