An Israeli soldier returning from the battles in Gaza kills his friend News

Israeli Channel 12 reported that an Israeli soldier who recently returned from fighting in the Gaza Strip shot dead a friend of his in the city of Tel Aviv.

The channel said that the soldier killed his friend inside an apartment, noting that the background was criminal and that the killer and the victim were both 25 years old.

It explained that the killer carried a licensed weapon, and the channel did not provide other details about the incident and its circumstances.

It is noteworthy that Israeli media have indicated in recent months that thousands of Israeli soldiers who were discharged from service in the war on the Gaza Strip are suffering from post-war trauma.

At the beginning of this month, the Israeli Walla website published an investigation stating that 1,600 Israeli soldiers and officers are suffering from post-war trauma, with at least 250 of them having been demobilized, according to the investigation.

Last December, Israeli Channel 12 reported that an Israeli soldier, who had recently returned from the war in Gaza, shot his comrades in a room after waking up from a “nightmare.”

She said, “An unusual incident occurred…in a holiday village in Ashkelon, when a soldier from the Paratroopers Brigade woke up in a state of panic after seeing a bad dream. He opened fire on the wall of the room in which he was sleeping and accidentally injured a number of his comrades.”

According to the channel, the occupation army decided “not to investigate the soldier who opened fire at this stage, due to his health condition.”

It is noteworthy that British media reported data from the Israeli occupation army that friendly fire kills 1 out of every 5 dead Israeli soldiers in Gaza.

Occupation army data indicate that 17% of Israeli soldiers are killed either by friendly fire, or during incidents on the battlefield.
