Interpretation of the phenomenon
The expert and researcher in the field of ammunition, Treefor Paul, explained in a statement to Al -Jazeera that the circular cloud that was seen in the sky of Deir Al -Balah does not indicate the use of a new type of weapon. He stressed that “the smoke rings are the result of the nature of the explosion and the surrounding environmental conditions, such as the speed and direction of wind and humidity.”
Paul added that “any explosion, under certain circumstances, may lead to a similar smoking circle,” noting that these phenomena, despite their scarcity, are not unprecedented in the contexts of bombing or major bombings.
This incident comes in light of a continuous military escalation in the central Gaza area, especially in Deir Al -Balah, which was exposed in the last weeks of a series of raids targeting civilian homes, and resulted in a number of victims.
It is noteworthy that Israel has been committing since October 7, 2023 genocide crimes in Gaza, which left about 196,000 Palestinians between a martyr and a wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10 thousand missing, as well as hundreds of thousands of displaced people.
