The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, on a senior security official, reported that achieving the goals of the current military operations in the Gaza Strip will take months at the current pace “because it is very slow” and is very calculated.
He added that moving to the second stage needs a decision from the political leadership “and this means a high possibility to kill the hostages.”
Regarding the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Israeli security official said that Hamas is not in a good situation, but it is far from collapse, as he stressed that there are no signs of disintegration or panic, and added that “despite the liquidation of senior leaders, Hamas is still working in an organized manner.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – who is required for the Criminal Court on charges of war crimes in Gaza – had vowed a few days ago to continue the war on Gaza “until all its goals were achieved” repeating it pledged to “defeat Hamas” and liberate all captivity, and ensuring “Gaza not to pose a threat to Israel anymore.”
Netanyahu’s comments came hours after the announcement of the killing of 3 Israeli soldiers, stressing that “the price that the Israelis pay in this war is exorbitant, but it is necessary.”
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has committed – with American support – genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction and hybrid, ignoring international calls and the orders of the International Court of Justice to stop it.
The Israeli extermination war left more than 181,000 Palestinians between a martyr and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11 thousand missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced people, and the famine that has been tired of many children, including children, as well as widespread destruction.
