Israeli Knesset member Danny Danon demanded that an international force that includes a mixture of Arab countries – which he described as moderate – take responsibility for civilian life in the Gaza Strip after the end of the war.

Danon – a lawmaker from the Likud Party led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – said, “With regard to security, Israel must maintain its own agenda and be able to move in and out whenever necessary.” Allegedly That this international force, including Arab countries, “could represent a key to future normalization with Israel,” According to what Anatolia Agency reported from the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post on Monday.

Danon added, “Before we talk about the next day (after the end of the war), we must care about today, and that Rafah – including its border crossing – Israel still needs to work on,” noting that any changes to the border between Gaza and Egypt must be made. From the Gaza side, “so that the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt is not jeopardized,” in reference to the Philadelphia border axis between Gaza and Egypt.

He explained, “I do not see any reason for Egypt to object. There must be an international presence, including Israeli, at the border point in order to what he called preventing weapons smuggling.”

This comes in light of Netanyahu’s declaration more than once of his desire to control the Philadelphia border axis, claiming that without it he would not be able to eliminate the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), while Cairo asserts that it controls its borders and controls them completely.

Israeli MP Danny Danon renewed his support for what he calls “the voluntary migration of the people of Gaza” (French)

In response to a question about whether he agreed with the Israeli government’s decision to continue the war even at the expense of a deal to return Israeli prisoners and detainees, Danon said, “This is true. More pressure must be exerted in order to achieve a deal.”

The Israeli MP criticized what he called Israel’s reduction of its military operations in Gaza, reiterating his support for what he calls “the voluntary migration of the people of Gaza, while not supporting Israeli settlement in the Strip.”

According to the “Jerusalem Post”, Danon, who previously served as Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, refused to reveal whether or not he would run for the presidency of the Likud Party before the possible elections, saying that it was too early to talk about politics, “and the prime minister should focus on the war.” This should also be the case for all other security and military officials.”

Since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip, Israeli officials have spoken about the management of the Strip after the war, and what they called the “post-Hamas” phase. Hebrew media reported that Israeli disagreements continue regarding this matter, while the Palestinian factions confirmed that the management of Gaza is a private Palestinian matter, and that the occupation’s allegations These will fail in the face of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and the resistance.

This coincides with the continuation of confrontations between the occupation and the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, and the aggression against the Gaza Strip continues for the 101st day, leaving 24,100 martyrs and 60,834 wounded, in addition to displacing the residents of several areas in the Gaza Strip, and destroying residential buildings, vital facilities, and hospitals.
