Tel Aviv Tribune Net learned that the head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip is Yahya Sinwar During the last two days, he sent an important and lengthy message to the head and members of the movement’s political bureau, in which he indicated that the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades are waging a fierce, violent, and unprecedented battle against the Israeli occupation forces, and that the occupation army has suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment.
Al-Sanwar added, according to sources close to Hamas, that the Al-Qassam Brigades targeted – during the ground war – no less than 5,000 soldiers and officers, a third of whom were killed, another third seriously injured, and the last third permanently disabled. As for military vehicles, they were destroyed. 750 of them were completely or partially destroyed.
Al-Sinwar said that the Al-Qassam Brigades destroyed the occupation army, and is continuing on its path to crushing it, and that it will not submit to the conditions of the occupation.
In the letter, Al-Sanwar praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, noting that they provided unparalleled examples of sacrifice, heroism, chivalry, solidarity and solidarity, and that it is the duty of the political leadership to quickly heal people’s wounds and strengthen their steadfastness.
Sinwar’s message came in the wake of the offers received by the Hamas leadership from the occupation through the Qatari and Egyptian mediators, which are based on temporary humanitarian truces, at a time when the movement emphasizes going beyond humanitarian truces to a comprehensive ceasefire.
